1349 are releasing their first album in five years, “The Infernal Pathway”, in a couple months, and the band continue to build hype for it by releasing a new song, titled “Striding the Chasm”. The song is the third to be released from the album. The song is currently available on streaming services and the Season of Mist YouTube channel:
The song is a nonstop barrage of black metal. I really enjoy the speed and proficiency in this song, as well as the groove shown off in certain sections. The solo is also crazy as well. That being said, I’m not sure the song really justifies its six-minute runtime.
“The Infernal Pathway” will be released on October 18th via Season of Mist.
