Post-black metal outfit Harakiri for the Sky have been announced to play Northwest Terror Fest, the band’s first show in the United States. The festival will take place the weekend of May 28th in Seattle. Other notable acts this year include Ringworm, Suffocation, and Cloak. The full lineup will be revealed on Thursday.
In a brief update on their Facebook page, black metal outfit Carach Angren have confirmed that mixing of the band’s upcoming studio album has been completed. No other details about the release have been revealed, but it can be assumed that I’ll be out in the first half of 2020. The album will be the follow up to 2017’s “Dance and Laugh Amongst the Rotten”, which was released via Season of Mist.
Progressive death metal outfit Entheos have announced that they will be releasing new music in 2020. Whether or not this is a single/EP, or a full length album is yet to be determined, but anything new from the band is definitely welcome. The band’s last release was the album “Dark Future”, which released in 2017 via Spinefarm Records.
Marduk bassist Dan Andersson has announced that he will be leaving the band, of which he had been apart of since 2004. Depressive/Suicidal black metal outfit Ghost Bath have begun recording their fourth full-length album. The announcement comes as a post on their social media, a caption-less image of the the drum-set being used on this record. This will be the band’s first album since 2017’s Starmourner. The as of yet untitled album will be out sometime in 2020 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Technical death metal heavyweights Origin have announced their plans to tour North America this March/April. From Opeth’s bassist Martin Mendez comes White Stones, a new death metal project. The band has announced the signing with Nuclear Blast and revealed that their debut album named Kuarahy (pronounced Kwa-Ra-Hee) will be released early next year, on March 20th.
