TRENCH WARFARE – Hatred Prayer

Texas is absolutely killing it with so many underground bands coming from the state. From Devourment, Whore Of Bethlehem, Desecrate The Faith, Viral Load, and Grotesque Formation comes a brand new band with Trench Warfare and their 2019 Transcending Obscurity Records debut full-length Hatred Prayer. From the band’s uncompromising, violent, and modernized structural style of blackened death metal these guys have been making killer music moments I’ve heard some songs off on YouTube and was hooked immediately. Musically, they take musical inspirations from Black Witchery, Revenge, Conqueror, and Blasphemy but in a much more destructive, hatred, putrid and perversion style of death metal.

Trench Warfare not only provided exposure by contributing their inspiration for death metal and combined different elements of different genres and brutal compositions in the finest musical approach possible but everything from guttural vocals, presentable drum work, pleasurable instrumentals and atmosphere filled with relentless chaos, the album not only became very penetrated and became highly accessible but in a sense this band found their counterparts by utilizing instrumentals and progression onto new heights.

Songs such as Blood Cleansing, Behead Muhammad, Decimate Legions and Astral Projection uses their stylistic branches of naturalistic musicality is more thick, full-fledged, pummeling and extremely impressive songwriting taken the boundaries into a chapter so fresh that the members from Trench Warfare outshine themselves into the stratosphere to create such wonderful, appreciative and memorable music. Perhaps the most innovative, structured and honorable mentions on this release is technical runs and more subdued, blistering passages spiraling all over the album’s pulverizing brutality showcases their maturity and stylistic approach is suitable and extremely accessible.

Hatred Prayer marks a new beginning for the band, but it represented endless directions and the amounts of talented craftsmanship for a band creating this new full-length is pretty outstanding to see a band marking great heights for the metal community.

Overall Score: 8.5/10

  1. Hey there! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when browsing from my iphone4. I’m trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this problem. If you have any recommendations, please share. Cheers!
