BODY OF FILTH BAND INTERVIEW

Body of Filth

Las Vegas, Nevada.
Members:

Ryan-Guitars, Joe-Guitars, FunDip-Vocals, Loren-Bass, and Chuck-Drums.

MPM: How long has the band been together? Were you in any bands before this one?

BOF: The band formed in 2021 and the first EP was the original lineup. Ryan found the band by searching the local metal scene and saw a lyric video, then met the band, did an interview, and after vibing, he then joined the band.

MPM: Do you have any new material coming out? What is the album’s name if you have one? What’s the release date?

BOF:Next song is called “Horse Incinerator”. We like the surprise drops rather than leaking when a song or
album is gonna drop, so no date as of yet for a release.

MPM: Do you have any upcoming shows or tours?

BOF: June 22nd in Las Vegas at Eagle Aerie Hall with Rule of Thumb, Haddonfield, Night Fiend, and No Angel June 29th show TBA.

MPM: Tell me about what this album or track is about. What is the inspiration behind the writing
of the new material?

BOF: The new track is a tribute to Trevor from The Black Dahlia Murder, so it definitely is more death metal with the riffage but with the Body of Filth beatdown breakdowns.

MPM: What’s the writing process like? Is there a main songwriter or is it more of a collaborative
effort?

BOF: Joe will either write a riff then give that riff to Ryan and Ryan will finish the song or vice versa it’s a 50/50 effort.

MPM: Do you guys have day jobs when you’re not doing shows or touring? Would you mind sharing what you do for a living besides making music?

BOF: Joe grows cannabis for a living as his day job.

MPM: Do you have any funny or bizarre show or tour stories that you’d like to share?

BOF: They give out pool noodles for kids to beat on each other and the kids never take the noodles so they grab them and take them to the next show.

MPM: If you could collaborate with anyone in or out of your genre, who would it be and why?

Joe- “I’d love to do a song with Fat Mike from NoFx. I’m a punk rock guy, well at
least I grew up with punk rock. I base a lot of my note selections on what I’d write
punk style. I think a good , fast, chunky punk, hardcore song would be so fun with
him.”

Ryan- “ I want to collab with Electric Callboy and Belushi SpeedBall and make the ultimate party metal song”

MPM: What are some of your musical inspirations?

Joe- Punk rock

MPM: What would be your ideal line up? What bands would you like to tour with?

Joe- “Right now, I’d totally like to fuck with Belushi Speedball so bad, those dudes party like we party.”

Ryan- “You know who I’d like to tour with? You guys ever heard of Bananaslama? They’re a slam band that all dress up like gorillas. Ya dude I’m all for that, it would be hilarious. Belushi Speedball, Bananaslama, and Body of Filth, that would be the sickest show ever.”

MPM: What are your favorite songs to play live?

Joe- “12 Gauge Cum Shot”, “The Slow Process”

Ryan- “12 Gauge Cum Shot”

MPM: What are some of your hobbies besides making music?

Ryan: “Joe likes to collect vintage video games and he grows his own cannabis and Ryan collects comic books.”
MPM: Are there any people you’d like to thank?

BOF: All the fans and supporters.

MPM: What are your social media platforms? Where can we find merch/music for sale?

BOF:Merch is through the band so dm them on their socials to ask for merch until they have their merch site up.
