It was until recently that Dani Filth & Paul Ryan (original guitar player) got together, along with Cacophonous Records founder Frater Nihil, and decided re-visit and remaster the Total Fucking Darkness demo, which was the last of the three demos (Invoking the Unclean, Orgiastic Pleasures Foul and Total Fucking Darkness) before the band signed with Cacophonous Records and released The Principle Of Evil Made Flesh album.

Now, this demo clearly has the raw spirit of the band during their early years, along with the heaviest and darkest atmospheric aura around it. The demo includes Spattered In Faeces, the only surviving song of the now legendary Goetia recordings, remastered versions of The Black Goddess Rises, As Deep As Any Burial, Unbridled at Dusk, The Raping Of Faith, and Fraternally Yours 666 another surprises in this re-release demo are the unreleased song Devil Mayfair (Advocatus Diaboli), and a couple of instrumentals by former Cradle Of Filth keyboardist Ben Ryan.

Total Fucking Darkness will be released in an first mail-order edition of 666 copies, divided in an unholy trinity of three two-color, 180-gram vinyl variants limited to 222 copies each. Each copy includes a limited edition booklet with a foreword by Dani Filth and formerly unseen photos from the band archives. A retail version in blue vinyl with insert, and a digipak CD, will be available online on May 5th, 2014, with the limited edition version slated for release three weeks later.
