Slamming brutal death metal band Homophobic Fecalpheliac have taken to Facebook to announce that their lead guitarist Alex Ippolito, bassist Jimmy Ippolito and drummer Mauricio Gomez have stepped down from the lineup. The full statement on Facebook reads:
It is with a heavy heart that we announce that I (Alex), Mauricio and Jimmy will be leaving Homophobic Fecalpheliac. It’s been an amazing adventure to start this band with Neil, record albums, play shows, grow our following and meet all you #shitheads. But all good things have to come to an end.
We are leaving to focus on life and maybe a new musical project here and there. We’re leaving on great terms and wish nothing but the best for our brothers in HF.
Thank you all to everyone that supported us and the music we created.
Love you all. Keep slamming 🔨🔨🔨
-Alex, Mauricio & Jimmy.
Later that night, the remaining band members Neil Andersen and Triston Cheshire posted this statement:
So as a second portion update:
HF will NOT be disbanding. Triston and I (Neil) will be continuing the band as we have a lot more left in us to give to you all to just call it over.
With that being said, we will be looking for a new guitarist, bassist and drummer. If interested and from the Los Angeles/Orange County/Inland Empire area, message us here or comment below.
We will be playing shows, making new music and pushing hard still. HF won’t fall down 🤘🏼🔨🔨🔨🔨
It sounds like the group will continue on and start the year off with a new lineup. The band released their self-titled sophomore album last year. We will keep you all up to date when there is more news on the lineup.
