STATIC-X Will Be Releasing New Album Next Year

Back in 2014, 48-year-old Static-X frontman Wayne Static passed away as a result of mixing prescription drugs with alcohol. Now, a few years later, a new album is being released in memory of Wayne and in celebration of the upcoming 20 year anniversary of their debut album, Wisconsin Death Trip. This release features the last recordings of Wayne Static and the original Static-X lineup, as well as many special guests.
Due in the spring of 2019, the effort will be released in conjunction with a world tour. The band plans to perform the majority of their debut album at each show.
Along with the help of Static-X’s long-time producer Ulrich Wild, the band is in the process of completing their seventh studio album, which will feature between 12 and 15 brand new tracks.
