Swedish viking/pagan metallers Thyrfing have unleashed “Döp Dem I Eld” (‘Baptize Them In Fire’), the first single from their upcoming album Vanagandr, set for release on August 27th via Despotz Records. The track is as punishing as it is groovy, with just the right amounts of folk influences. The song is accompanied by the band’s first-ever official music video, directed by Patric Ullaeus.
The band comments:
“The opening track was actually the first song written for the album, back in 2015. It’s quite a straightforward song: a lot of aggression and intense drumming with our measures, still carrying both groove, melody, and epic moments. Also, it’s the first single and first-ever video for Thyrfing!”
