‘Der Freiheit Verlangen Nach Goldenen Ketten’, the second music piece from Dornenreich‘s upcoming “Du Wilde Liebe Sei” album, has been officially released. The outing is due June 11th on Prophecy Productions.

“More than that, the track “Der Freiheit Verlangen Nach Goldenen Ketten” / “Freedom’s Desire for Chains of Gold” is in my mind probably one of the most dramatic pieces that we have ever created for Dornenreich.
“This concerns both the emotional force of longing and despairing strength expressed in musical terms as well as the lyrical theme of the human nature being torn between its desire for freedom and self-assertion on one hand and its tendency towards wanting to belong and devotion on the other. It might well be the most fundamental conflict within the human soul, which is expressed through this song. As powerful and fluid our music is moving over extended passages in this track, here it remains unredeemed in the end – which is reflected in the essence of us human beings over and over.”
