UK/Germany based symphonic metal act Angel Nation are currently working on their new album, titled Antares. In order to release this effort, the four-piece has also launched a crowdfunding campaign. Alexander Krull will be handling the mixing and mastering of Antares. In other news, Angel Nation confirmed that they have parted ways with guitarist Sonny Antoniou.
Angel Nation on the album:
“We are beyond excited to finally be recording our third album called Antares (album cover artwork by Sledgehammer Graphix). It’s been a while since our last release Aeon, but believe us, it’s worth the wait! This album will bring Angel Nation back with full force, showcasing 10 tracks of musical versatility and evolvement of the band. For the powerful sound these songs deserve, we’re happy to be joining forces with Alexander Krull, who will be mixing and mastering our album.
“We’re asking you to join us on this journey to make this album a reality! A huge thank you in advance for your help and we can’t wait for you to hear the final result, which we think is our best work yet!”
Comment the band on departure:
”Sonny has decided to part ways with the band due to being increasingly busy with other projects. We’re sad to see him go and cherish all the great memories from the road and fun we had together! We’d like to say a big thank you for all the energy and time you’ve given to Angel Nation and wish you all the best with everything in the future! We can’t wait to hang out again as soon as it’s possible!”
Sonny Antoniou explains his decision:
”This unfortunate decision was not made lightly, nevertheless it is a decision that had to be done. I have learnt so much being in Angel Nation, not least about myself but also as an avid musician. I have played some of the best shows in my life being in this band and have traveled to some of the most beautiful locations.
“Most importantly I would like to thank everybody who has shown their support throughout the years, meeting all of you wonderful fans has been incredible and i hope to meet you all in the near future! Elina, Julia, Lucas and George, i am going to miss sharing the stage with you and thank you for the memories! Thank you all so much!”
