SHURIKEN CADAVERIC ENTWINEMENT – Constructing The Cataclysm

I’ve never felt so proud of being a compassionate extreme metal fan seeing up and rising artists of various genres to not only find their footing terms of structure and musicality, but it feels so fresh and naturalistic sounding to witness more bands within the underground to make a name for themselves in the upcoming years. Today, this band known as Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement is a two piece death metal project fronted by Lust Of Decay’s Jordan Varela and Cesspool Of Vermin’s vocalist Jay Barnes to pour and summoned a record so sickening, so colossal and compelling that the theme of this album reflects on Japanese culture and opening the gates of human flesh to make the listener strapped into battle of dual-wielding swords and rising banners to honor the fallen of innocence.

Musically, this record is a death metal assault of combining elements of old school death and some brutal compositional work more in the veins of Morbid Angel, Deicide and Ripping Corpse but for Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement’s approach of making death metal may seemingly be the same as any other band in the genre, their blend and timed signatures have significantly increased prior to their last record and this time around these musicians are fiercer, stronger and have a implacable location for the music that is a unstoppable, yet outrageously fun record through and through. From the lethal like guitar melodies, devilish and experimental styled vocal ranges, and levels of pure intensity and sheer class, these musicians provide malicious torments to bring such a classic death metal sound that fans of the genre will be pleasantly surprised to hear something so heavy, catchy at times and a towering so demonic that even the lords of hell awaits the listener to join forces and slaughter innocent souls that cross paths.

Structurally, the tracks are naturally flavored and filled with monolithic goodness that even songs such as Awaiting The Infinity Of Oblivion and Insurrection Of The Diabolical is a perfect representation and example of what Shuriken Cadaveric Entwinement’s musicality and approach is sounding like from it’s dominating drum fills, apocalyptic like melodies, inventive harmonics and these rebellious songs surely makes you belong in a horrifying battlefield of demons, gods, and rivaling with visceral battle cries makes this album the perfect beast of war and overwhelming power.
