ALLEGAEON Confirm New Album, “Apoptosis”, To Come This Fall

Technical death metal outfit Allegaeon have given some early info about their upcoming album, including album title and release window. The album, which has been revealed to be “Apoptosis” will be coming around October.

In an interview with Metal Insider, guitarist Greg Burgess and vocalist Riley McShane dropped the info, as well as discussed the themes of the album. McShane said “The title of the album, “Apoptosis” is the scientific term for when cells systematically die to have new cells come in and replace them. It’s often seen in just regular growth of tissue and growth of organic materials. So growth is really the theme of the album,”.

Apoptosis will be McShane’s second album with the band, and the first for bass player Brandon Micheal.

Apoptosis will be available late this year, but you can currently see the band on this year’s Summer Slaughter Tour.
