CHTHONIC Hong Kong Performance Cancelled Due To Visa Denial

Taiwanese symphonic black metal band Chthonic were to perform at On The Pulse Of Music Festival in Hong Kong but had to cancel their appearance due to frontman Freddy Lim’s visa being denied. The reason, apparently, is because the singer didn’t “possess a special skill, knowledge or experience of value”. More can be read below.

This would not have been the first time Chthonic would have performed in Hong Kong, though, as they have performed previously at Chokenflap 2014.

This however didn’t stop them from being completely absent. During HOCC’s performance, the band was video called and they performed an acoustic rendition of “Millennia’s Faith Undone”.
