Gloomy Grim founding member Juha Hintikka aka Agathon has passed away. The band’s Facebook page was the first to announce the sad news of Agathon’s passing.
Cause of death was the brain tumors were discovered at Hintika in late 2019.
Gloomy Grim has released seven full-length and a number of demos, EPs and splits. From their first album “Blood, Monsters, Darkness” in 1998 through Holy Records, the band remained loyal to their symphonic and dark black metal sound all the way through their latest release, “Agathonomicon“.
During his long career, Hintikka also worked in Barathrum, Corporal Punishment, Walhalla and Thy Serpent, among others.
Rest in peace, Agathon. We will miss you and your Legacy will live on.
