OXYGEN DESTROYER – Bestial Manifestations of Malevolence and Death

Oxygen Destroyer are a brutal thrashing Kaiju metal band hailing all the way from my hometown in Seattle, Washington and for a band sharing inspiration for Godzilla themed lyricism and astonishing musical components this is one of the wildest, thrashiest, and riffiest albums you’ll hear all of 2018. Let’s just say the artwork on this album is extremely well presented and they’ve dropped a massive atomic bomb, bathing us in the warm radioactive glow of nuclear drums and flaming shrieks. The music on Bestial Manifestations of Malevolence and Death alone is every metalhead’s dream to combine aggressive death metal signatures and chaotic thrash metal melodies to infuse both genres together works like a magical charm.

Songs such as Bio-Mechanically Imprisoning the Sacred Beast of the Apocalypse.”, Cleansing The Earth Of Humanity’s Existence to the headbanging anthems of Summoning The Moth Of Divinity you’re going to witness the most ambitious, naturalistic and perfectly arranged albums you’ll hear all year long. Bestial Manifestations of Malevolence and Death” are by no means copy and paste as Oxygen Destroyer stayed true to a very classic feel of thrash as no one is left alive, and everything in their path is decimated with nuclear devastation in the blink of an eye.

With each track being a reference to one classic kaiju after another, Oxygen Destroyer does their theme proud as they do very little wrong here with this debut effort. Oxygen Destroyer has a terrific sense of pacing, fantastic face melting speed, and the musicianship to bring it all together makes the album astonishingly vicious beginning to end. If you love your Godzilla films and death/thrash metal, then Oxygen Destroyer fits right at home for you.

Overall Score: 8.5/10
