MORGUE WALKER – Forage The Ash

North/South Carolinian trio’s debut EP, Forage the Ash by Morgue Walker has a very wide mixture of grindcore and blackened death metal that just feels absolutely wonderful and a fresh breath of air.
Right off the bat, there’s death metal traces and a serious, yet extreme layers of violently explosive signatures of loud noises. Vocally, you get black metal styled screams and crisp singing arrangements with the production and instrumentals can be turned up a tad bit within the mixing department but it does maintain such raw and filthy signatures.
For an EP that’s relatively short, it’s amazing how a three piece project can create the most destructive, maddening and sickening releases I’ve heard for 2018. Take the songs Save Yourself, Kill Them All and Observer for instance, you’ll get perfect balances black and death passages while also combining grindcore melodies just punches the listener to get their hands filthy and transfer themselves into a insane torture location. Forage The Ash is a EP that’s not for the faint of heart, but those are opened minded to extreme music will get a kick from Morgue Walker.
