SON OV LEVIATHAN – Luciferian Misanthrope

Blackened death metal has dated back all the way to the early 1990’s that combines black metal and death metal. Throughout the course of the genres existence, bands like Belphegor, Behemoth, Veld, Angelcorpse and Necrophobic have paid their contributions to make a genre incredibly diabolical, misanthropic and intense musical structures is simply aggressive at its finest. Today, I’ll be reviewing the upcoming blackened death metal band Son Ov Leviathan with the 2019 sophomore album titled Luciferian Misanthrope. What’s special about this Californian based outfitters is vocalist and instrumentalist C.L. has made a album portraying lyricism about Luciferianism, blasphemy and darkness.

Musically, if you took his latest creation of 2017’s Vi Veri Vniversum Vivus Vici, put it in a blender and made the music heavier and toned, this is what Luciferian Misanthrope. Nearly 48 minutes of carnage, destruction, aggression and hatred, C L. has done his full research to create a album that’s not entirely for the faint of heart, but his representation for creating blackened death metal music is a work of art. When you hear songs including I Am God, I Am Lucifer, I Am Thee Eternal Lord ov Breathing Flame, Conjuring and Enchantment and my personal favorite being track 3 off this album called First Breath ov the Cloaked Daemon, Dying Gasp ov the Villainous, you’ll get tracks feature experimentation, atmosphere, fist pumping headbanging actions and magnificent instrumentals that provide a huge outcome upon hearing this album. The arrangements C.L provided is absolutely remarkable in every sense possible. If you love your extreme metal about worshipping Luciferianism, having your soul ripped and torn and huge replay value Luciferian Misanthrope is the definition of what blackened death metal is all about.

Overall Score: 9.0/10
