INFECTED HUMANS – Unexpected Traumatic Experiences

Hailing all the way from Ecuador, Infected Humans are a brutal death metal band who’s catalog needs to be recognized and paid attention to because as the year is on the horizon, this album Unexpected Traumatic Experiences is one sick release front to back. Released through the mighty label of Gorehouse Productions, these Ecuadorians are surely capable of understanding their passion to create the heaviest, nauseated and disgusting pieces of extreme metal there is to offer. Musically, I get heavy influences ranging from Kraanium, Disfigurement Of Flesh, Traumatomy and the latest Engutturalment Cephaloslamectomy album in 2020 due to the contagious grooves, unexpected melodies and incredible leads of executed instrumentals is surely but steadily a punishing album beginning to end.

From the moments of hearing the blistering opener of Calcining Human Flesh (Feat. Sonny Trujillo)to the maddening and assaulted commands of Ejaculating Illumination, these compositions are sharp, crystal clear and there hasn’t been any fillers or dull moments upon listening to the album as I’m witnessing such compassion, determination and authentication since I’m a diehard listener to the brutal death metal genre. Everything from the malicious vocal performances, dissonant and hammering layers of technical proficiency, almost groovy variations within the well mixed production and featuring the most barbaric, heaviest, somewhat catchiest and chuggy oriented material I’ve heard in recent memory, this is not just your typical run to the mill brutal death metal where it feels stale and out of style, but this release gives all sorts of compliments that I can’t really say anything negative because I’m extremely impressed seeing a new band fresh from the underground that can create such vision and vicious musical patterns to have such great potential in the next decade and onward. Unexpected Traumatic Experiences is not for the faint of heart but if you’re a causal listener or devoted fan of extreme metal and wanting something that’ll satisfy your pleasure, Ecuador’s Infected Humans are right at home.
