VHS – I Heard They Suck…Blood

Four albums into their existence, Canada’s extreme metal band VHS are back and have created in my opinion the best material to date. This is the follow-up to 2020’s Gore From Beyond The Stars and stylistically, their hybrids of death metal, thrash and grindcore with lyricism based off 80’s horror movies and pop cultural references are surely worth the experience. From the all killer no filler signatures, excellent compositions, intelligent songwriting and eviscerating the endless cries of worthless human beings, these Canadians take many inspirations from other artists such as Exhumed, Mortician, and Impaled to a whole new extremity.

The vocal deliveries surely make the album worthwhile and it sure paid off extremely well. From headbanging anthems of nerve-racking drum beats, gruesome vocals, audible instrumentals and a sickly sweet production, this record accompanied many wonderful compliments where each song is fresh, dynamic, naturalistic and has no sort of repetitive tones which in my opinion, it sounds perfect to the root of its core. With it being the fifth record, this is VHS’s most crafted, experimented and splattered releases done to date and rest assure you, these wonderful additions of mindless and brutal sickness captures and refine their approach to provide evolution, sickening and it just plain rules. I Heard They Suck…Blood is a faster, progressively polished and the catchiest sounding releases you’ll hear in 2021.
