Thai outfitters Intricated have resurrected themselves from the grave and given us a brand new full-length album titled Apocalyptic Metamorphosis which is the band’s newest offering and is released on Comatose Music. This album created a huge leap and bound to incorporate many different structures including the first couple tracks where they borrowed influences from US brutal death metal to even some of the more European-style extreme metal but more twisted, putrid, bludgeoning and blasphemous sounding. From the moments you hear Impaling The Emperor, and An Experimentation Of Genocide (Unit 731) There’s many layered compositions, variable tempos and a lost touch of humanity with convicting emotions as each song represents a powerful, yet stricken violence to a world where everything’s sinister.
The beauty, nature and discipline for these talented musicians bring real understandings that’ll leave the listener baffled, desperate and confused. Musically and lyrically, you’ll get standard blast beats, programmed drums, genocidal guitar tones and intense, massive vocal variations in which this case the bewildering display of deranged dexterity and bone crushing, headbanging heaviness makes the listener feel nauseated and a slime-crawling like creature draws all the immediate attention giving every brutal death metal signatures and sounds feel outstandingly accomplished. Apocalyptic Metamorphosis is one of the most swamped and frenzied displays of brutal death metal you’ll hear throughout 2021.
Overall Score: 8.0/10
