CELESTIAL SWARM – Gateways To The Necroverse

In a sci-fi universe not so far, far away comes a international blackened death/brutal death metal band known as Celestial Swarm and offering us their debut full-length this year titled Gateways To The Necroverse. Released independently by the band, this album introduces a incredibly creative approach showcasing elements of technical, slam, blackened and brutal death metal with a unique twist behind the musical signatures. From the heart pounding and aggressive instrumentals, groovy drum sequences reminiscing of Defeated Sanity, Wormed, Inherit Disease, Analepsy and Infecting The Swarm to the ridiculous skills of finest complimented chemistry work, these musicians proved themselves alternating naturalistic performances is among a phenomenally top release beginning to end.

Songs such as Hammer of the Demiurge, I, Cataclysm, Gateways to the Necroverse and Void Architects consists of eerie vocals, grinding, and suitable melodies with monolithic slabs of whirling speed, these musicians show they aren’t necessarily afraid to slow things down but rather balance the instrumentation to become audible and presentable. For a marvelous debut full-length showcasing the band’s influences, soundscapes and presentation, Gateways To The Necroverse is quite entertaining to hear menacing pieces of extreme metal and having to incorporate many musical elements while maintaining the band’s traditional sound is well designed and is definitely recommended for fans of blackened, slam and brutal death metal.
